There were lots of things to be thankful for back in November of 2019! For Arden, she was most thankful for the fact that she wouldn't have to do this anymore!
Yup, Arden got her braces off for (hopefully) the last time in November of 2019! She was so excited to be able to eat all of the yummy sticky things and to not listen to her mom bug her about wearing her rubber bands anymore! (Too bad she just had to start listening to her mom bug her about wearing her retainer!) But look how beautiful she is, with her dazzling smile. Mom and Dad's money well spent.
We were thankful that Loki stopped being afraid of Olive! Olive wanted nothing more than to be bestest friends with Loki, and though she hasn't quite achieved that status, Loki no longer left the room whenever she entered it. And look, they are *almost* snuggling!
We were thankful that we were able to host Thanksgiving at our house in 2019! Dan's family was coming into town from Missouri, and so we offered to rearrange some furniture and try to stick everyone in our house! We don't have a lot of fancy stuff for table settings for that many people, (or that many chairs or tables), but we did our best to make folding tables and chairs look as festive as possible (the green tablecloth was plastic...for the kids table!)
Arden somehow ended up at the head of the kids table, which she was super excited about. But her little buddy Xander was pretty excited to have her sit by him.
Sometime during Thanksgiving weekend we went and saw Frozen II at the Gateway. It had just snowed and there were some trees all lit up, and I thought I would try and get all the kids to stand in front of it and pose, and try and get something Christmas card worthy. Unfortunately, Arden decided that she was not glam enough to get her picture taken and refused to get into the picture (teenagers, am I right?). Oh well. Dax and Cora were much more cooperative and looked very festive.
Every Thanksgiving weekend (well, not Thanksgiving 2020, but we didn't know that yet), Ogden has a big Christmas lights parade with Santa at the end and fireworks. Amanda and her family rented a hotel room overlooking the parade route, and invited the kids to come and watch with them. After about an hour of trying to find a parking place, we finally found one and ran over to watch out the window with Emmy and Xander. Cora and Dax were so cute with their little cousins.
And Arden is just cute!
