It is birthday season at our house, and next up was Cora! She turned six years old this year, if you can believe it, because I can't. In my mind, Cora is still two years old, like this:
But somehow, this big, beautiful girl has taken my spunky little baby's place:
Whoa, she is really growing up, isn't she? Look out, boys!
She is still spunky, though.
Cora chose to go to Macaroni Grill for her birthday, she heard they give you cake AND sing you happy birthday in Italian (She wasn't quite sure what "Italian" was, but she knew she wanted it).
She had her friends party a couple of days after her "real" birthday. And, if this looks like a rerun, you are right. She loved Arden's craft party at Michael's so much, she decided to have one too. This time, we decorated little canvas bags/purses. Here are a couple of the cute girlies who joined us:Some more of the crew:
Here is the guest of honor herself. Does she look excited? Pictures don't lie.
Arden and Dax came along too, of course. Arden helped the other girls, and also decorated her own bag. Dax did a T-shirt.
We did our craft, ate some cake, and then opened presents! Cora LOVED each present so much, she gave each friend a big hug (whether they liked it or not).
Here is some information about Cora-the-six-year-old:
Favorite color (as of yesterday): Light blue
Favorite song: "Sugar" by Maroon Five
Favorite movie: Teen Beach Movie (this movie is enjoying a resurgence at our house)
Favorite TV show: Paw Patrol
Favorite food: Steak
Favorite dessert: ice cream or anything with frosting
Favorite things to do: Whatever Arden is doing, play with friends, do crafts, score goals!
Least favorite things to do: GO TO SLEEP!

Cora is still pretty small for her age, which is okay with me, it helps me pretend she is still little. She still wears size 10 toddler shoes, so that means she is still a toddler, right? I vote yes.

She doesn't toddle any more. But it doesn't seem so long ago. And we LOVE HER!
She seriously is so fashionable and model-y in those first few shots I almost died. And also - SUGAR is by far my favorite song ever thanks to all kids who sing it. SOoooo good. Happy Birthday "Corbie Cakes"!
