Daxton Smiles!

So, here is the moment you have all been waiting for (well, probably nobody but my mom and maybe my sister is all that excited, but anyway...) I finally got around to taking a picture of Daxton smiling!

The first time I remembered to grab the camera, he was smiling really big and I went and looked around for the camera, and finally found it. Then I sat him down and tried to get him to smile again, and he made the biggest, cutest smile anyone has ever seen. I quickly hit the button on the camera, and looked back and Daxton and he was STILL smiling! I was so happy! I excitedly checked the camera to see if the picture looked as cute as I was sure it would, and I was greeted with...a "BATTERY EXHAUSTED" message instead. Bummer! I looked all around for some batteries and couldn't find ANY! Arrrrggghhh! So, I had to wait until the next time we went to the store, but a couple of days later we were able to get a couple of him smiling, so here you go:

Soooo cute, but I guess I am kind of biased. He is turning into a pretty smiley kid. I have got to say that the first real smile is one of my favorite milestones. Some of the other milestones (first solid food, first steps) are a little bittersweet for me because they mean that the little baby stage is ending (am I the only one who feels this way?), but I can see no downside to these smiles!

Anyway, I have been feeling a little old this past week because it has been 10 whole years since I got married. But, on Saturday we did something that made me feel like a kid! We went out to the Police concert at USANA Amphitheater. The weather was perfect, the band was great, and I was probably one of the youngest people there. Seriously. It was great. My sisters and brother in law came too, and we all had a good time. The Police did all of the good songs (Every Breath You Take, Every Little Things She Does Is Magic, Don't Stand So Close To Me, Can't Stand Losing You, Wrapped Around Your Finger etc. etc.) and Sting still looks great...the other two not so much, but they still sounded amazing. It was lots of fun. Here is a picture of me and my two sisters at the show:

Oh, and Arden did must better in nursery this last week! She didn't push anyone down, and only got into one fight over a toy phone. Yay! Hopefully she will stay sweet.

I hope everyone has a good 24th of July!

You can't beat a baby's smile:-). I he was so cute the other day at lunch. I didn't want to give him back.
Wasn't that show awesome. I had so much fun there. We were a bit closer to the stage than you, but I am sure it was just as much fun. My personal favorite song was Roxanne.

He is adorable (I may be bias too). It was cool to be young at a concert for a change. We are usually the weird old people.

By the way - Happy Birthday Eve!

That is the one moment every mother waits for. The second, is when they sleep through the night. Or maybe that's the first and the smile is the second!! He's adorable Chrystie!
